Owen's Nursery Part I

The most relaxing room in the house is definitely Owen's nursery. For Will and Charlie I had blacks, reds, golds and denim, which I loved, but this time around I wanted something clean and simple. I knew I wanted beige and white and I found the stripe and solid at Home Fabrics for super cheap. By saving money on those I was able to get a couple yards of this fun floral at Calico Corners, I love that its pops in a subtle way.

The throw, which I have used a ton for myself during those groggy middle of the night feedings is from IKEA.

My favorite thing in his room might just be this collage wall. I knew what I wanted up there, I had a vision, and my mom who is really good at collage walls helped get it placed right. I already had the black mirror (we just turned it on its side), we snapped a picture of his little feet at 6 weeks, framed up a piece of scrapbook paper, and I stenciled an "O" on a leftover piece of bedding fabric. The sweetest part is the little silver plate that has the "snips and snails" saying on it from Trevor's childhood room. I love mixing old with new, especially when its meaningful! Bringing it all together is my go to item....the IKEA Ribba frame! These pups sure are the ticket and cheap too at like $5 and $10. LOVE!
More to come on this baby retreat!....
